Dimitris Protopsaltou

We set out to create ideas for the development of the children's library and family services at the public library. How does the library meet the needs of modern families and to what extend should play be a part of the library portfolio? Which direction should we take: Playful learning - a means of disseminating library services or reading promotion or learning to play - a way to enhance social skills and creativity in children? Which role should ICT play and what demands do theses questions rise for library staff?

There will be some quick presentations of different cases from USA, Greece and Denmark and afterwards a plenary discussion.
